PLUMIS WINS PLACE ON NEW SEC FIRE SAFETY FRAMEWORK
FEBRUARY 14th, 2022
We’re pleased to kickstart 2022 by winning a place on the South East Consortium’s (SEC) newly launched fire safety framework – fire suppression, for the installation of our watermist technology
The SEC, which is owned by 48 member organisations comprising of housing associations and local authorities, has replaced its fire consultancy and fire remedial works frameworks with the new model.
The new framework aims to provide public sector procurement teams with a compliant route to appointing experienced contractors. As the manufacturer of our award-winning watermist fire suppression system, Automist, procurement teams will have even greater confidence in appointing Plumis to deliver on their fire safety projects.
William Makant, CEO at Plumis, said: “As a growing fire suppression specialist, this is a really important win for us. We invented Automist to be easy to retrofit and to overcome some of the known limitations of traditional sprinklers.
“Electronic activation enables Automist to activate faster – up to two minutes before a sprinkler on some types of fires – tackling fires early and helping to control smoke; the biggest killer in domestic fires.
“Over the last year, we’ve delivered a number of fire safety projects for organisations operating across the public and social housing sectors, including Housing 21, Orbit and Swindon Council – so we’re more than ready to hit the ground running for the SEC’s members.
“We are really pleased that the SEC has chosen to work with us and look forward to showcasing how our technology can support more housing providers and local authorities to increase fire protection and save lives.”
Any public sector organisation can access the framework including housing associations, local authorities, universities, and NHS bodies. For more information, visit: https://www.southeastconsortium.org.uk/our-frameworks/works/fire-safety-framework/fire-suppression/
