  • Plumis Founder William Makant

    William Makant

    Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

    William is a mechanical engineer & technical lead at Plumis. William holds an MBA from Imperial College. He has led to a successful conclusion a number of fire suppression R&D projects with Innovate UK backing which has led to the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation – the UK’s highest accolade for business success. He is a member of the FIA/BASFA Watermist technical committee that contributes to the British Standards.

    Yusuf Muhammad

    Chief Design Officer (CDO)

    Yusuf is a co-inventor of Automist. He has an Honours Masters degree in Engineering and a double Masters in Innovation Design Engineering. He has won numerous design awards for a host of innovations across a number of industries including the James Dyson Award, the Toyota IQ Design Challenge & Transport Design of the Year by the Design Museum to name a few. He also starred in the BBC 2 Show 'The Big Life Fix'.

    Glenn Hayward

    Chief of Operations (COO)
    Glenn is a graduate of the University of Manchester and has close to thirty years of experience working on the new product introduction and the operations side of high-tech businesses including everything from  Standard Integrate Circuit (IC) products to smart meters. He has expertise in setting up world-class quality, reliability and manufacturing facilities, is a father of three and is an experienced and keen ocean yachtsman.

    Robert Murphy

    Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

    Robert has spent 10+ years supporting SME growth, including raising £45m+ through private equity investment capital and £60m in structured bank / venture debt since 2009. He is raised up to £20m in M&A acquisitions and £25m in closed trade sales, generating up to eight-fold returns for investors.

  • Plumis NED Peter Cowley

    Peter Cowley

    Non Executive Director

    Peter is a Cambridge University Engineering and Computing graduate and fellow of the Judge Business School. He’s run technology and construction businesses for over three decades and is involved in charity and social enterprise governance, as chair and treasurer, on many trustee boards. Peter founded and runs the Martlet start-up investment fund in Cambridge and has invested in over 30 start-ups. He is on the board of seven of these, including Plumis. Peter enjoys fine dining.

    Darren Ramhit

    Assembly Technician

    Darren has over 15 years of experience as a production engineer and maintenance manager previously working for two UK based defence companies. Darren spends his free time building custom PC's, gaming, book reading and keeping up to date with the latest tech.

  • Plumis Staff Carlos Ruiz Garcia

    Carlos Ruiz Garcia

    Senior Design Engineer

    Carlos has designed mechanical parts and machines in many different fields, from renewable energy to industrial laundry equipment. You will see him playing basketball, most of the time very close to the hoop, and travelling on his adventure motorbike. He has travelled the world, but after his trip around The Highlands, in his own words, “nothing will ever be the same again”.

    Malik Wilson

    Warehouse Operative

    Malik is an undergraduate Business Management student. He likes to spend his spare time participating in physical sports and various activities. He is skilled in art and design, coming from a background of study in art. Which he took part in whilst living abroad in Jamaica.

    Omair is a computing graduate with a masters degree in Information Systems. He has over 10 years of web application development experience with a wide range of technologies. He has previously worked with various start-ups, SME's and cooperate clients in the Middle-East. In his spare time he enjoys time-lapse photography, hiking and live music.

    Jinwen Cen

    Product Development Engineer

    Jinwen is an experienced engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the mechanical engineering. He is skilled in R & D, quality management, root cause analysis and project management. He has strong product development professional with a master's degree focused in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen University. He likes to travel and make friends.

    Andrew Peek

    Electronics Engineer

    Andrew is an Electronics Engineer experienced in developing embedded hardware and software for automotive engine management systems, data loggers, industrial control systems and point of sales terminals. He’s also managed IT teams and developed large scale real-time server based gaming infrastructure and networks

    Embedded Systems Engineer

    Joel is an talented electrical and computer graduate. He has experience working on everything from Blood Glucose Meter’s to Audio Spectral Analyser’s. He enjoys going to gig's in his spare time.

    Production Manager

    Robert has 10 years of management experience in photo industry, maintaining machinery and IT. Robert is a skillful dancer (folk & ballet) - frequently performing in UK and abroad, hobbyist DJ and composer, neuroscience reader.

    Przemek Wilczynski

    Senior Quality Technician

    Previously a store manager of a leading DIY store, Przemek has factory experience of production lines, producing wood laminates for kitchen units and cabinetry. In his spare time he can be found moving across the floor as a semi-professional dancer and loves long distance cycling.

    Assembly Technician

    Daniel has got 15 years of experience working in warehouses and used to work for McLaren Automotive. He likes to listen to dance music and play football in his spare time.

  • Plumis Staff Amina Mussa

    Amina Mussa

    Office Operations Manager

    Amina is an AAT Trainee & manages the office operations, having previously gained extensive experience managing operations with a legal and financial capacity. She speaks 5 languages and has lived in 4 countries. Amina is a keen swimmer and occasional tennis player, she loves traveling and cooking. You might find her in her spare time at the Opera House attending the ballet.

    Tony Greenwood

    Bookkeeper / Financial Controller

    Tony Greenwood was born in 1958 and lives in Surrey. He has been a Management Accountant throughout his career and has held a number of financial controller roles in SME's. He has been a Plumis shareholder since the first round of external investment.

  • Plumis Advisor Dr Alan Hart

    Dr Alan Hart

    Advisor

    Alan is a Plumis Founder and has an MA and PhD in Physics from Cambridge, and an MBA from Imperial College, London. A passionate physicist, he spent 11 years in innovation consulting, bringing science and technology to new consumer products. He’s a named inventor on one granted patent, with two patents pending. Alan enjoys snowboarding and is a third wave coffee enthusiast, preferring artisan, organic, responsibly sourced beans.

    David has over 25 years experience in the Fire industry, including Director positions with Thorn Security (ADT), Kidde Fire and BRK Brands Europe. David is a keen sailing enthusiast, enjoys Rugby Union, real ale and fine wines.
