PLUMIS STAFF SELECT FIRE FIGHTERS CHARITY AS OFFICIAL COMPANY CHARITY

OCTOBER 15TH, 2025

Fire suppression engineering company, Plumis has chosen Fire Fighters Charity as its official company charity to support the organisation’s vital work with the UK’s fire services community.

The decision was made after Plumis employees were invited to nominate and vote for a charity that aligns with the company's mission and values. Fire Fighters Charity, which offers physical, mental and social support to serving and retired fire and rescue personnel, came out as the clear choice.

Founded in 1943, Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire services community and their families, helping with any health and wellbeing challenges they may face, during and after service. It supports thousands each year and is funded almost entirely through donations and fundraising initiatives.

By supporting Fire Fighters Charity, Plumis says it is strengthening its connection to the people behind the profession - those who risk their lives to protect others.

William Makant, CEO and co-founder of Plumis, said: “At Plumis, our mission is to protect lives through fire safety innovation. This partnership connects our technological work with the human side of fire protection. We’re proud to support Fire Fighters Charity and look forward to making a meaningful contribution together.”

Debbie Rushbrooke, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Fire Fighters Charity, added: “We’re honoured that Plumis has chosen us as its company charity. It’s clear that their team is passionate about making a difference and we’re excited about the potential this partnership holds, not just in raising funds, but in helping to raise awareness of the challenges our fire services community faces.”

Plumis is best known for developing Automist, an intelligent fire suppression system designed to offer faster, more targeted protection than traditional sprinklers. The company has received multiple awards for its approach to life safety and is committed to reducing fire-related deaths and injuries through innovation.

The partnership will see Plumis staff engaging in a variety of fundraising and volunteering activities and helping to raise awareness of campaigns to amplify the impact.
