What is the automatic water fire suppression system's product warranty?
There are two types of product warranty that can potentially apply to Automist. The basic manufacturer’s parts warranty which comes as standard and an optional rolling warranty which may be offered by your Automist installer.
Standard Warranty
Plumis offers a standard manufacturer’s parts warranty for its products to be free from defects, under normal residential use, for a period of two years from the date of installation, provided the system is serviced annually as per the manufacturer’s requirements. This applies to Automist products installed on, or after 1st February 2023. Conditions apply, please ask your Automist installer for details.
Rolling Warranty
Plumis now offers a rolling manufacturer's parts warranty for the product's lifetime. This ensures that the system will remain in excellent, ever-ready condition if the consumer has the system serviced by an approved installer in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance schedule. In the unlikely event that a fault with a Plumis manufactured part does develop, Plumis will supply replacement parts via your chosen approved installer without charge.
Any Plumis Automist Smartscan Hydra system serviced on, or after, 1st February 2023, potentially qualifies for Plumis Rolling Manufacturer's Parts Warranty. The Rolling Warranty applies to all Automist Smartscan Hydra installations, irrespective of installation date, by default unless the customer or the Automist installer has not opted out of Rolling Warranty.
The system must also be serviced, within the past 12 months by an Approved Automist Reseller Installer, in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.
Please check with your installer if rolling warranty is available for your Automist system.
What’s not covered by the warranty?
- Neither the standard, nor the rolling, warranty covers impairment through:
- Wear and tear
- In-situ abuse or damage to the system
- Installer error or malpractice
- Faults arising from failure to service the product in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions in the Design Installation Operation and Maintenance Manual
- Force majeure
Plumis Automist Products installed on, or before 31st January 2023
Automist Smartscan and Automist Smartscan Hydra systems installed before 1st February 2023 are covered by the previous version of Plumis Manufacturer's Part Warranty which includes an extension of the warranty from two years to four years, from the date of installation. This applies if the system has been serviced annually. Installations performed after 1st February 2023 will no longer benefit from the two years extension, as this element is replaced by the rolling warranty.
