COVID-19 Update

On 4th January 2021,  the UK Government issued a new “stay at home” instruction to the residents of England. Similar instructions have been issued in Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. I want to take this opportunity, however, to assure you that Plumis operations will continue and that you can rely upon the continued supply of our products, services and support.

Our continued operation is allowed for under the terms of the latest “National lockdown: Stay at Home” guidance issued by the UK Government for England. A passage on page two sets out that going to work, including working within the construction or manufacturing sectors constitutes a ‘reasonable excuse’ for leaving home.

Installation and servicing of Plumis' smart fire suppression systems can continue under the guidelines.  Page seven, of the document, sets out “Where and when you can meet in larger groups”. Under this heading, the UK Government is advising that “you are allowed to meet others from outside your household” “for work”. This includes “work in other people’s homes where necessary”.

The safety of our customers, partners and staff remains a top priority and we and our network of installers will continue to follow the guidelines for working safely in other people's homes.

If you have any queries regarding the installation or service of your Automist system, or regarding the COVID-19 measures in place please contact your installer.

Kind regards

Glenn Hayward, Chief Operations Officer, Plumis
